Cruising’s original motion picture soundtrack is available on vinyl for $50 from Waxwork Records. It features the original 1980 album and, for the first time ever, the complete soundtrack and score recording sessions.
The score is composed by Jack Nitzsche (One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Stand By Me), while the soundtrack includes the Germs, The Cripples, Barre Phillips, Mutiny, and more. It has all been remastered from the original master tapes.
The triple-LP album is pressed in 180-gram blue, black, and white vinyl. It’s housed in a triple gatefold jacket featuring artwork by Aesthetic Apparatus with satin coating and spot UV gloss. A 12x12 booklet with a new essay by director William Friedkin is included.
